Cutting your Plans and Sections

Look for the ideal cut. Your cut does not have to be straight. Cut through

as many windows/ doors/ rooms and other elements as possible. This allows you to capture as much information as possible in a single drawing. For Sections: Using a solid visible line to mark your section, use arrows on your drawings to show which way you are looking. For Plans: Arrows are not needed to show which way you are looking as the cut is always facing down. You also don’t need to show where you are cutting as it is usually assumed at about 1m above the ground.
