The Power of the Grid

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe mastered the grid. Grids can help you organise your project. Use of grids, lines, dots and interlocking geometry implies more thought into organisation and can be seen as precision; even when it is not there. Also, appropriate labels and weather data laced into drawings give them a depth of information. NOTE: This can remove clarity from your drawing. Grids also are an easy way to check that the scale of your project is correct. When printed you can measure the spacing of the grid to make sure the scale is correct. Refer to works by Mies van der Rohe for succesful uses of the grid.
